Description: Suspicious Person/Activity/Circumstances
Location: Eliot Hall

Notes: A CSO responded to a report of suspicious flyers found throughout Eliot Hall classrooms. The fliers contained a QR code which has been sent to Computer User Services for further investigation. All fliers found were removed.

Location: McKinley

Notes: A CSO on patrol of the Cross Canyons encountered the odor of cannabis. The CSO determined that the odor was coming from through an open window in McKinley. Upon entering the dorm, the CSO was unable to identify a specific origin point of the odor.

Notes: A CSO on patrol of the Performing Arts Building encountered new graffiti in the stairwell of the building. Building services has been contacted for clean up of the graffiti.

Description: Unattended Alcohol or Drugs
Location: German House

Notes: A CSO on patrol of the German house encountered an unattended bottle of alcohol in the shared kitchen. The bottle was taken to 28 West and disposed of.

Description: Alcohol Violation
Location: Cross Canyon Dorms

Notes: Two CSOs on patrol heard loud noises coming from a Cross Canyon common room. Upon investigating the noise, the CSOs encountered multiple students and a distributable amount of alcohol. Several of the students left the area before the CSOs were able to obtain their names. A few students remained behind, providing their information to the CSOs, who were appreciative of their cooperation. None of the remaining students were of legal drinking age. The remaining alcohol was confiscated and disposed of at 28 West.

Notes: CSOs responding to a noise disturbance, see Case #230429, encountered extensive graffiti across an entire bathroom. Building services has been contacted for clean up of the graffiti.

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
